ECC Announces Fall Term Dean’s List
One hundred forty-nine students were named to the Fall 2024 (August to December) Dean’s List at Ellsworth Community College. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours during the semester (a full-time class load) and had at least a 3.5 grade point average for the Fall 2024 semester. Part-time students are not included in this list.

What We're Watching: A Complete Unknown
This weekend I saw the new Bob Dylan biopic 'A Complete Unknown,' and to paraphrase a line in the film, it quite nearly knocked me to the ground. I loved it so much I saw it twice, and also enjoyed the live music performed at the Palace on Saturday in between shows.The film is directed by James Mangold and is based on the book 'Dylan Goes Electric' by Elijah Wald. I just started reading a debut Historical Fiction novel by Elizabeth O'Connor titled 'Whale Fall', about an isolated family on a Welsh island in the 1930's, and am loving O'Connor's writing style describing the wild landscape and bleak living conditions."In 1938, a dead whale washes up on the shores of a remote Welsh island. Over the weekend I read the Teen All Iowa Reads book, 'Rez Ball' by Bryon Graves. With basketball season in full swing, it was the perfect book to read!
